Information Technology through the College of Business and Innovation is a combination of two colleges. While taking the core components of business: Macro + Micro Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Entrepreneurship. I also take heavier technology classes. Such as Database Structures(AccessDB + OracleSQL), Python, Java, Web Design (HTML + CSS), Small Computer Systems, System Admin, Network Interfaces, Project Management and much more.

By blending these structures together I tend to look at any situation or project from both aspects of the business (Technical Aspect and Business Perspective) in order to solve it efficiently and effectively.

• As I work toward my next role as an IT Enterprise Solutions Specialist, this position serves as a strategic transition within Hylant. While our agency's business solutions primarily focus on agency management, there are numerous company-wide programs that do not fall under the Help Desk or the agency business solutions team. The Enterprise Solutions department would oversee these programs, which currently lack clear ownership and span across various departments. Examples of these solutions include Office 365 support and training for advanced issues, as well as third-party business tools like Concur and the internal intranet.
  In my current role as an IT Analyst, I have led small to medium-sized projects, such as office moves, renovations, and system upgrades, to develop expertise in project management. Throughout this time, I have continued to fulfill my responsibilities as an IT Specialist at Hylant.

IT Specialist

• At Hylant the IT Specialist role is a full-time Help Desk support role, crossing between multiple different scopes of the day to day Hylant employee. From user setup and configuration, troubleshooting and support, to full system administrative roles. Specifically I have access to help in the Microsoft 365 admin center, exchange admin center, intune management center, teams admin center, and sharepoint admin center. Main roles I covered were concur company admin, assisting in some back end administration of the concur platform, alongside IT purchasing with the company vendor accounts.

• This is one of my most favorite experiences I've had throughout my life. Being able to come to each practice and game to help out the coaches, players, and fellow student assistants has been an amazing opportunity. Being around the team atmosphere and seeing the process of getting to the end goal of a championship is a real winding road. It has brought many challanges not only when we go to battle against another team, but within our team as well. Seeing the passion that each player, coach and managers have towards the game is extremely rewarding, especially when the end goal is achieved. This is a huge time commitment as well, and lead to learn the value of time management.

• This has been my favorite IT internship I've ever worked. Working directly with technology hardware has always been fun for me. I've built numerous machines and this job as given me insight on how a large scale company sets up the correct software and applications in order to get the various tasks done. It all started with me. Especially working during a global pandemic I was constantly sending laptops to new hires or new remote workers. Making sure the VPN and security software was setup properly in order for them to get the job done correctly and securely. Truly a memorable experience.

Customer Support Specialist

• Here I was tier 1 support specialist for a small Internet Service Provider based in Toledo Ohio. We worked directly with customers in order to resolve their internet issues or all around tech problems. Being a 3rd party seller of internet it made for a more personal experience with each customer. It was a great learning experience especially all the different scenarios presented.
